Spent some time today fettling the 1930 Norton model 20. A rare Norton vintage motorcycle as it features a twin port version of the single cylinder 500cc ohv engine . Cleaned up the rusty barrel and head before applying a coat of cylinder black. Norton Racer! A gorgeous 1933 ex-works racing Norton OHC 500cc with a bronze cylinder head, being fired up at the International Classic Motorcycle Show at Stafford, England. By 1933 Norton dominated the international racing scene, as their OHC motor was very fast and even more reliable, with a terrific chassis that handled well enough for 90mph laps at the Isle of Man TT. First start-up after winter on this Norton Rotary Cafe Racer owned by our friend Dave Brown. The starting point for this project was a 1988 Norton Commander with a Norton Wankel Rotary engine. Some other interesting features include a Kawasaki ZX7R front end, Manx Norton tank and Norton F1 tail fin.
