Today we celebrate World Okapi Day! Tusk is proud to support the Okapi Conservation Project. The okapi, also known as the “forest giraffe”, is one of the oldest mammals on Earth. Okapi are recognised by their striped coat which helps them to blend in with the light shafts produced as the sun pierces the rainforest canopy! The project also works with the local community through its agroforestry programme in the the Okapi Wildlife Reserve (OWR), which occupies part of the Ituri Forest in north-eas
